Una vez que ya tienes contratado tu plan de salud, es muy importante que conozcas sobre sus términos, de qué manera se compone y en qué debes fijarte al requerir una atención médica.
¿Cuánto me cubre mi plan de salud?
En primer lugar, debes tener en cuenta que el plan de salud que elijas y su precio varían según el porcentaje de cobertura que te entrega para cada prestación.
Este porcentaje depende de dos cosas.
Tipos de Atenciones Médicas
A las atenciones médicas se les llama prestaciones y estas se dividen en tres tipos: Prestaciones Hospitalarias, Prestaciones Ambulatorias y Prestaciones de Urgencia.
Las prestaciones son todas las atenciones de salud que te realizas cuando te enfermas, como las consultas médicas, las hospitalizaciones, los exámenes, etc. y la cobertura de tu plan varía según el tipo de prestación.
Por su parte, la cobertura es el porcentaje que te cubre la Isapre en alguna prestación, de acuerdo al tipo de plan que tienes contratado. Recuerda que este porcentaje varía según el tipo de prestación (Hospitalaria, Ambulatoria o Urgencia) y el lugar en que te atiendes (Oferta Preferente u Oferta Libre Elección).
¿Dónde me Atiendo?
El lugar donde te atiendas. En tu plan de salud se indicarán dos tipos de lugares para las atenciones, los nombrados en la Oferta Preferente, donde puedes obtener una cobertura más alta, y los de la Oferta Libre Elección, donde la cobertura es más baja.
Recuerda que, al momento de atenderte, la cobertura también depende del centro médico o clínica a la que vayas, los que se denominan Prestadores. Por eso, para que puedas elegir el que más te acomode, cada plan de salud te ofrece distintas coberturas en diferentes prestadores.
Los prestadores mencionados en la Oferta Preferente del plan de salud son aquellos que tú estás escogiendo para obtener una mayor cobertura, ya que te gustaría atenderte en ellos. Por el contrario, si te atiendes en algún prestador que no aparece dentro de la Oferta Preferente, estarás usando la Libre Elección, donde generalmente la cobertura es menor. Te recomendamos elegir los prestadores que más te acomoden y tenerlos muy claros, ya que así no deberás ir a otros que no aparezcan en tu Oferta Preferente.
